All I know is it had been in the works for a while. We played several games at the stadium and also talked with the coaches at the cages. This had been in the works for quite some time.

Yeah it takes time to make that transition. 3-4 years at least. BOF, from what I've heard, Lindenwood funds their athletics pretty well. I think last year there was an article out that said they had something like 49 sports or something crazy like that.
I know Krak, I threw it out there before I headed out to work this morning. I will go back and fix it. Just a flyer that came in at the last minute with a interesting financial package. Never heard of them at all so just curious. (I guess that is obvious from the post) They told my son it was an "NCAA package" so it would transfer over when they eventually go.

Bulldog/Lefty: Any infomation on the program, coaches, school?
BOF,

It's a good baseball program. St Charles is part of the St Louis area. The college I coached at years ago used to play them every year.

BTW, NAIA programs have some obvious benefits vs. NCAA schools.

You might want to look closely at their website to get a feel for the program and recruiting. I suppose you have already done this though.
"Pletch" works at it. He doesn't sit around and he backs up what he tells kids that want a shot at playing baseball and getting a quality education.

Nice area of town too!

Moving classifications might be a great move for this school. Many schools are looking to change classifications with the growth of their enrollments and competitiveness of their overall athletic programs. This school is no exception!

Good luck!

Nationally ranked football program.
Great sports programs with real commitment to winning.

nice, safe campus in St Charles,MO which is 30 minutes west of downtown St Louis.(Cardinals, Rams, Blues)

St Charles is right on the Missouri River with an "Old Town" district, casino, wineries, parks, etc.

Had a niece that played s****r for them and she loved the school.
In one word - LEGIT.

The recruiting staff (Coaches Chris Emanual/Raul Corrales) were some of the best we dealt with. Yes, they are transitioning from NAIA to NCAA Division 2 (MIAA Conference), so the number of scholarships is going to take a hit. But, they have outstanding academic packages that will help close the gap on other D2 programs.

Lindenwood definitely has the facilities, campus, academics and recruiting plan to be a national power in D2 baseball. It is an exciting time for them and any incoming student athlete.

There are some specific parameters that can create 3-4 scenarios that will effect their program thru 2013. PM me if you'd like.... they really have a great plan in place.

GUN considered the LIONS program one of his top picks.
