My 2017 should have been on varsity from the start is what we thought, Great tryout, ready to take on the world of varsity..NOPE, JV AGAIN...Was definitely shocked and little disappointed in his decision to say the least.. I have coached
and been friends with the coach for a few years now so I was kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place(father vs friend). For once I sat back relaxed took a deep breath and had a little faith (thx coach May).First 6 games on JV was so hard to watch so many errors not the best baseball..Was 10/12 and got to sit for 2 games, then it happened called up
to varsity. Pinch runner, then pitch hitter, then 3 inn in left, then starter in left for 3 games. Now he's flexing between both JV and varsity wherever he's needed.Ran into coach at school fund raiser and he went out if his way to explain his plan for easing son into varsity speed of game and not ruining his confidence from JV to VARSITY..
So folks there are bad coaches out there and you will have 1 at some point in your life..Just don't lump good ones in there before you see there plan..
