David Eckstein is not anly a solid Major League player (former World Series MVP); he is an A Class man! From Sanford, FL, he helps out some of the local HS players and is always friendly and on a first name basis w most of the Varsity Players at his former HS.
My son wore a pair of spikes he passed along for most of the season this year. I had just purchased a new pair for my son when he came home w a pair of David's spikes. Needless to say, we have a pair of barely worn new spikes ready when needed.
David is one great person!

I was able to watch Chris Cates play at a game for the Ft Myers Miracle. A great 'little" player.
When I first saw him I thought he was one of the coaches sons on the field

I've seen Cates play too. Good guy. He's having a lot of trouble so far this year though.
