This is a detective story so pay close attention!!!

Three elderly ladies are excited about seeing their first baseball game.

They smuggle a bottle of Jack Daniel's into the ball park. The game is real exciting and they are enjoying themselves immensely, mixing the Jack Daniel's with soft drinks. Finally one
of them passes out.

Soon they realize that the bottle is almost gone and the game has a lot of innings to go.

Based on the given information, what inning is it and how many players are on base?

Similar to the following:

An orchestra was playing Beethoven's most famous symphony. There is a long interlude for the bass section. One of them slips out & returns with a few bottles.

The entire bass section is soon imbibing. They are losing some of the old hand eye coordination.

As they begin the last movement, the bassist turning the pages keeps knocking the sheet music off the stand. One of the other bassists takes some string and ties the music to the stand, so that the drunken bassist turning the pages won't send the music flying to the floor again.

Of course the situation was...

The bottom of the Fifth, the basses are loaded and the score is tied.
