I remember he hit 3 homers in a game last year.

The Boston media has taken quite a liking to Pena...the Eagle Tribune out of Lawrence started a "Pena Watch" last year which was fun and the Globe writers have interviewed him several times in pre-game shows.
It doesn't hurt that he is a handsome lad, with a lot of personality...and appears to have his head on straight, too. Very refreshing.

The Boston Globe ran a nice story on him and his family the year he was drafted. His family is truly an american sucess story. If I remember correctly, they came here from the Dominican when the kids were around middle school and they didn't really speak english. All have gone on to college, and the sister may have been validictorian.
