Well, it is that time of year, when Players may be coming home from there original assignment. This could be for many reasons, From lack of playing time to, the need to work, or just plain home sickness. There is no shame in that.

What is the one thing many of these players still have in common, They still want to play this summer. Hence the reason to bump this thread.

I would also like to add another local league I found. Players run the Gamut, looks like every division is represented as well as a good number of Community colleges and some NAIA. Heck it looks like one team is mostly all from Cleary University, I count 21 Cleary players,on the roster.

Teams are in Cities such as Fowlerville, Midland, Saginaw, Pinckney, Manistee and Mount Pleasant.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

Most important thing, if you aspire to a "Higher" league, is to play. Summer league teams do look at stats from previous wooden bat league work; a good summer at a "lower" league can be a springboard...and honestly, the worse thing that happens is you play baseball for two months...think of Moonlight Graham's enthusiasm in Field of Dreams. Play somewhere just because you love the game.

Another spring season is upon us. Many players have been placed. For those who have not, Please post any current info you have on local leagues.

Here is one for those in Connecticut:

I will post more as I find them. I am not associated with any of these leagues and have no Idea of there quality, Except foir those cose to me.

For Connecticut, the best league that comes into the state is the New England College Baseball League - NECBL.  If you are not playing in the cape around here you would want to be in this league.

Some college kids play in the Bridgeport Senior City League.   This is not the level of NECBL but its clearly a level above Legion which would be the only other option I am aware of in CT (I know you posted one too - I didn't know that one).  This league has a smattering of D1 guys, some D3 and some ex minor leaguers.

That's what I know.

Thanks Gunner,

THE NECBL is a great place to play. Unfortually there is probably more demand than spots open. The NECBL was originally meant for student athletes in the New England area. However they have been so Sucessful that it has expanded to students athletes nationwide. So not really a local league anymore.

Adult leages are always an option. Most metro areas have one. I have seen quite a few players end up in leagues run by MABL.
