Yea i wish Bongi and also Cisar Carillo (U of Miami) good luck at the CWS. Bongi's 3-2 and Cisar is 11-0! Nice job guys!
Daryl Maday, rhp, Arkansas...from our neighbors across the border...Wisconsin
Maday had the pleasure of facing the Texas Longhorns in his first CWS appearance. He had some trouble with control. He gave up 3 or 4 runs I think.
Watched some of the Arkansas/Texas game. Hode had a real nice base knock, the first hit of the game for Arkansas.
Maday didnt impress me too much. Although it was a very tough assignment, he didnt have too great of control, and his velocity was nothing special. I dont think I saw him throw a pitch that broke 86 while I was watching. Congrats to Maday however on the amazing accomplishment of even being in that position to pitch in the CWS, no bad pitchers pitch in that tourny. I'm sure Maday will have a great career at Arkansas, and best of luck to him and Hode.

Surprised that he's only at 86. Cruised 87-89 for quite a while as a senior in high school.
Doesn't matter...If he doesnt' learn a change-up to go along with his fastball and slider, he'll end his career in the SEC.
