Hello, I'm new to the board as my oldest son in the game is now a HS freshman.

We're toying around with the idea on my freshman son attending the evaluation camp held by Lone Star Athletics in December at Blinn Jr. college. Does anyone have any experience with them? Good or Bad?

Appreciate any and all experiences. Thanks in advance

My two sons each attended the camp at Blinn when they were sophomores and enjoyed it. I think it is a good first showcase as there were about four or five college coaches there and it wasn't very expensive. It was kind of a low pressure environment where each of the college coaches gave a talk and then there was a question answer session for the parents. This might be good for a freshman's first dip in the showcase pool. It really is more of a showcase than a camp as it isn't instructional and is run like other showcases where the guys run a 60, throw from their positions and then hit. They play a game after that. The facilities at Blinn are nice and the head coach is always there. I wish they went into a little more detail on the written reports they send you, but I've seen worse.
