Its always the same big boys in Nassau every year: Division, MacArthur, Pequa, Clarke, Wantagh etc.. The Catholic League should be as competitive as ever this year, lots of top teams
I find it interesting that the varsity head baseball coach of a HS team would come on this site or any site for that matter looking for information on teams in his region.
Grew up on LI and played at Garden City HS---my first born played for MacArthur
I am well aware of LI baseball especially in the ELmont Area---I lived in Floral Park until I was 13 years of age. Our travel team plays at Baseball Heaven a number of times during the year as well as the LI Tigers tournament on Columbus Day weekend
I still find it strange that HS coach comes on here with that question
I agree with hit. I didn't want to post on these sites when I was a coach, didn't think it was appropriate, not wrong, just something. Now that I am not a coach, I will post away! I do think it is a little weird to see a coach asking about a familiar areas teams
i love to talk baseball on the local level but their isnt much of an outlet on long island... i've always been very disappointed by newsday's (long island/nyc area paper) coverage... just looking to talk local baseball as we get ready for the 08 season.
