Looking for a summer team

Hey everyone. I am a new member who absolutely needs a place to go for advice and direction. I have a pretty solid 14yr old son I am working hard to develope into a future college prospect. His love and talent is catching. Not a bad pitcher either. He also has a good bat. My problem is finding him a good summer league team close by to play for. There are a few teams around but they all are full up. We are left with Rec. ball but I'm not sure he will be able to develope as much there. Kind of tuff going from the starting catcher and pitcher on the J.V. team to a summer with few prospects. Any advice?

Have him play up with the 15u or 16u. Most of them are just now having tryouts.
