Thanks for your input bballdad. The local sporting goods in my area including the big ones really don't give out great options for bats, especially this time of year. I've made quite a few trips wanting to "feel" what bat was right but the options, quality, and quantity are limited at the stores, which I guess leaves me for settling for ordering a bat online. I'd like to get some more input on some of those bats you can't find in stores first.
Agree with bballdad. Selecting a bat is very personal. Try some of your team mate's bats, go to stores. Each manufacturer has various models also so it is pretty hard to pick one.

If your going with a wood bat also look at the composite wood models that cost more, but are less likely to break.

Good luck!
Product Information: MacDougall PowerWood Technology is a patent-pending design and lamination process that we use to build the MacDougall PowerWood M-10 and M-21 bats. It's a lengthy process that starts with sourcing select hickory and sapele hardwood that is carefully checked for grain conformity and freedom from natural defects that could negatively affect the bat's strength. These hardwoods, in concert with our special laminating process, add unparalleled strength, ballance, and stiffness, effectively creating a bigger sweet spot (5 more hits from every 100 at bats) with more power transmitted to the ball on contact.
