I was talking a friend whose son was a top LHP in the DFW area a year ago, but got injured and missed all junior season/Summer. He is a 2013 LHP and cominng back from injury and wants to know his best options. He is a high-academic kid and if he succesfully comes back from injury he should do well, but he knows uncertainty is difficult for colleges. He also wants to go to a good academic school. What advice can you guys give so he can make the right choices in these last few months of recruiting?

Top LHP don't come easy. Every school is looking for academic & effective LHP.
Did he have schools interested before the injury? Reach out to them.
Put together a list of schools that are a good academic fit and email/call. Email subject line should read "2013 LHP". My 2013 LHP increased his responses measurably once he used that subject line. He still needs to have the talent, but what your trying to do now, is catch up and create interest. If he was a top prospect before the injury & if he has recovered completely, he is still a top prospect.
Good Luck!
