I am new to this board, but I am going to be a senior in high school at a highly competitive college prep in northern california, and hope to play baseball at some college. I have the academics to pretty go to a wide variety of places, but my problem is that I have been unable to play for my high school baseball team outside of practicing with the team last year. I have however been able to play consistently for a highly competitive club team that regularly plays against high caliber 19U teams that feature players headed to top tier schools such as Stanford, UCLA, USC, etc. My question is whether there are any strong academic schools that have baseball programs which would be willing to accept someone in my situation. I realize that I may have to go the route of DIII schools or club teams if I want to continue my baseball career, but I was wondering if I would have the possibility of playing for an Ivy League School, or high caliber school most likely lower than DI. Sorry for the length of my message, but thank you for any information anyone can offer.

The Headfirst Gamers Honor Roll Camps attract a large number of college coaches from the best academic schools - some Ivies, some DIII, some DI. They have camps in NY in August and one in Florida in the fall.

It looks as if they have some opening in their NY camp on August 3-4 and in Jupiter FL, November 6-7.
The August 3-4 would probably get you the most exposure, but either would be helpful.

This is their website:

You can also search "Head First Honor Roll Camps" on the HSBBW to see lots of discussions.

I am not affiliated with Headfirst Honor Roll Camps, other than that both of our boys found their colleges by going to their camps. It was money well spent.
