I heard an old timer at a local ballfield yesterday say Dickinson is a candidate at WSU. That would be both cool and interesting, huh?
Sperry out at Univ of Portland. They hired Geoff Loomis, recently at from PLU (I believe) and former U of P player. Still waiting for him to fill his asst. coaching positions.
Wow, is that Portland opening recent? Portland was very active recruiting in the Seattle area this week.
I think it happened right after the end of regular season and Loomis came on board less than a month ago. If he's out on the recruiting trail, it must just be him. If he's hired assistants, those haven't been publicized yet.
Actually just saw that they hired Gregg Swenson as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. Great guy. He treated my son very well during recruiting and Portland is lucky to have him.
SFSU hired UC Davis AHC/RC Tony Schifano to replace Mike Cummins.

Tony is one of the really good people in college baseball. In their announcement, SFSU included quotes from other coaches who included the fact they would want their son to play for Tony. There won't be anyone who will outwork him. Terrific hire for SFSU.
