My son took an unofficial visit during the summer before his senior year (he is now a junior in college). It is a rural campus in a small town. The baseball coaches all seemed like quality people and the facilities were just okay at the time, but they were working to improve them. One item to note is that it is by far the eastern most school in the conference, so every road trip will be rather lengthy. However, every other year he would get to go to Hawaii, so there is some upside there.
It is in the WAC which has the most geographic challenged conferences in the country.

La Tech is in the worst situation of having to travel to Hawaii, Calif, Nevada, and New Mexico for conference games. That is a challenge if you are really thinking about the time out of class.

They also just do ok to poor in what is considered a fairly middle of the road DI conference, but have been able to get their share of players drafted.
