Happy for those guys, esp. for our Cardinals guy Mac Caples.
But seriously, only two guys from Virginia? I know this list runs off nominations; apparently some coaches didn't get their forms in on time.
I know there are some good players in this years senior class and i am sure there should be more than 2 from virginia but from what i have seen there shouldn't be many more, as alot of the talent that i see is in the junior class.
Those two are good prospects, but our (PG) top 4 in Virginia are not even honorable mention. In fact, only one of our top 10 are mentioned. The Rawlings/Perfect Game preseason All American Team will look much different, as it always does! That comes out in a week or so.
Yeah, they missed quite a few.
Though I might add, you have Caples underrated.
That is always possible. But we have him ranked in a spot that would make him a first team all state player and a top 500 in the country type player. Maybe he is a lot better than that, but it's not like we missed him all together. However, I'm sure we did miss someone somewhere.

Does PG continue to evaluate 2013s through the Spring or move on to 2014s and younger this Summer?
Go Dawgs,
We have people following the 2013 class closely until the draft. Even after the draft we will continue following 2013 players until the fall college season. In fact, it doesn't stop there either.
We didn't know just how good Matt Wieters was until we saw him after his senior HS year, in the summer after the draft. He actually went undrafted out of HS.
PG-
I appreciate you follow them throughout the year. I expect you would, but do you post an end of year All American team in the same fashion as your preseason team or do you not take it that far?
Thanks.
Yes, we do a year end All American Team. We also select players for an All America West and East Game that is televised with next year's seniors. That game started as the Aflac Game in 2003 and it has had over 100 first round picks and counting. I think somewhere around 50 (and counting) players from that game have already played in the Big Leagues.
Would've helped if Caples had accepted his PG National invitation. But with his early commitment to Va. Tech, the family decided to save the expense. At that point they had no inclination to pursue a ranking, and I suppose his slot went to someone else instead.
In any event, as you know I was just tugging at your leg a litte.
