Here's how (and IMHO, don't believe it was by accident).  It was the semi-final playoff game.  So Lovett advances and GACS doesn't need a pitcher until next spring, so they can make due till next friday.

The finals for Lovett vs Wesleyan start on Saturday, 5/21 (one day after the "ban"), so the pitcher in violation is good to go if needed for their first or second playoff game as well as the 'if needed' game the following Monday.

So both schools pay their fine and take their "severe warning" without any real penalty.
