My son enjoyed the LSU camp. The hitting instruction was good, but the pitching instruction was sub-par. I would say don't go to the big camps looking for instruction, because it is usually not that good--just too many kids. Most try to use "cookie cutter" mechanics, which is not good for a kid unless those mechanics fit the kid. If they don't fit the kid, it can be damaging. If you do go, use only what works for you and disregard the rest. Be skeptical and don't accept everything that an instructor offers just because he's a college coach. My son received more bad instruction at large camps than good instruction. The problem was, we didn't know some of it was bad until much later. The best money spent on camps was "The Hit Doctor's 'All-American Showcase'". Not a great deal of instruction, but great evaluation and what instruction that was given was better than what was offered at other camps.
