In yesterday's Spring Training opener for the Phillies MiLB teams, Lt. Karl Bolt went 2 for 3, with a double off the left field wall in the first inning, a monster HR in the 7th, and accounted for all 4 of the Phillies RBI's in a 5-4 loss to the Orioles. This after going 5 for 8 in intersquads this past weekend, 3 of them doubles.

Life is good.

Navy plays nationally ranked U of VA today in Chancellorsville, after cadKID2 went 4 for 8 in a double header on Monday against IONA.

And how 'bout that surprising Air Force team, who so far this season has upset Mississippi State, Ohio State, Univ of Penn, Univ of Maine, and lost by one to Memphis? Way to go Cadets!

That is awesome...any word as to if he's going to be allowed by the "brass" to continue throughout the summer!

BTW...UVA is in Charlottesville...any southerner worth his weight in grits knows that Chancellorsville was the scene of Gen Lee's greatest victory...and the CSA's greatest loss...RIP Stonewall!

JT...

You are absolutely correct. When I got to Chancellorsville, all that was there, was a bunch of old cannons, stone walls, and Japanese tour buses. Thank goodness Charlottesville is just a little bit further down the road.

University of VA has a beautiful complex and campus, the fans were very friendly, and springtime had hit the Blue Ridge for at least a day.
