Lynnhaven Baseball (Virginia Beach) will be looking to repeat their World Championship in 2011 and a third straight trip to the Palomino World Series representing the East Zone. The 2010 Lynnhaven Baseball Team was made up of 17 graduating high school seniors, college freshman, and sophomores that met the age requirements.

Last year's team played in 49 games during the summer between 1 June and 11 August. We participated in the Tidewater Summer League (Wood Bat), the Eastern Virginia Palomino League (Metal), a 4th of July Tournament (Virginia Beach), Region Tournament (Virginia Beach), East Zone Tournament (Pittsburgh, PA), and the Palomino World Series (San Jose, CA). In addition to winning the Palomino World Series, our team also won the Tidewater Summer League Regular Season Championship (this is the first time a first year team has won the league since the league was formed). Our team played against some of the best teams from the local area, college level teams, and some of the best teams in the world from North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Chinese Taipei, California, and Texas during our season. Our final record for the 2010 season was 40-9.

Though we will not know our tournament schedule until the first week of March, the 2011 Palomino World Series will be held at the MLB Urban Youth Complex in Compton, CA just outside of Los Angeles, CA this year.

Lynnhaven Baseball is not a "true" showcase team; we are a Pony Baseball Team that plays on the National Level year in and year out. We do try to schedule showcase teams and have played in a few showcase tournaments to prepare us for our tournament schedule. We always try to play against the best teams whether they are Collegiate Summer League Teams or Showcase Teams.

Lynnhaven Baseball's coaching staff will also be serving as the coaches for the 2011 Pony National Tournament of Stars Team in Cary, NC at the USA Baseball Complex. At this Tournament, USA Baseball will be evaluating the top baseball players in the nation for the privilege of trying out for the USA 18U National Team.
