Lynnhaven defeated an outstanding team from Youngstown, OH 3-1. Karter Rivera (VMI) went the distance and pitched 6 scoreless innings after giving up a run in the first inning.

Lynnhaven's offense was led by James Taylor on base 4 times, and Cameron Butler and Kyle Newcomb both drove in runs and were 2 for 3 at the plate.

Next game will be tomorrow at 1200 against a strong team out of New York.
Update:

After a long weather delay and a move from PA to OH.

Lynnhaven lost to New York 2-1 last night. Eddie Butler went the distance but our bats went cold....we left about 10 runners standed. But I give credit to the other team. Trevor Hinson was 2-2.

Lynnhaven came back in the losers bracket and defeated Cincy Storm 10-2 behind Ryan Davis and strong hitting performances from Trevor Hinson and Adam Capps. Trevor was 3-4 and Adam was 4-4.....rest of the team bats still cold.

We play New York today at 1:30pm and if game would be at 4:00pm.
Lynnhaven comes out of the losers bracket and beats New York twice - 4-3 in eight innings and 4-0.

Dylan Hudson pitched the first game going 6 2/3 and Cameron Butler finished the game.

But the star of the tournament was Karter Rivera who pitched the second game going the distance for a shutout......he pitched 14 inning giving up only one run.

The team leaves for San Jose, CA on Thursday Morning from Pittsburgh.
