I believe Kofi Annan went there....and maybe Mondale?. Coach was very interested in son, but we just weren't able to 'sell' interest in the cold climes of Minnesota. It's a great school, very diverse, very 'international' and 'cosmopolitan'....and yes, the Coach seemed like a really great guy. Very tough admissions.
COach Parrington has been recruiting my son. While we have decided on another school, he seems to be a very nice guy. I have heard all very good things about him. My neice's best firends parents are Macalester alum. It is a very good school. The drawback is the climate. But, the baseball program does play its first several games in the Metrodome and then they head off for the spring trip, so they don't have to deal with the early season bad weather. While we did not visit, they were in the final 4 schools.
