This dude is a monster on the diamond. I would like to hear from any posters that saw him as a youngster... I bet PG and Coach May saw him... any others??? any memories??

PGStaff did see Bumgarner, or at least as a 16-17 yr old

Had Puig decided to charge the mound a few weeks ago as it looked like he might, it may have not been a pretty sight. For everyone's sake, I'm glad he didn't but I would have put my money on MadGum!

Bum was the number 5 ranked HS prospect
1. Porcello
2. Heyward
3. Vitters
4. Harvey
Crazy that Porcello, Harvey and Bum were ALL heading to North Carolina.
I know his agent, same as Verlander's.
Not only are they beasts but they practice a philosophy that I have spoken about here before.
They are mentally tough, very hard to teach yourself to contol emotions when you are in all type of situations whether it be a regular game, playoff, world series or allstar game.

Huh. One of my clients has the same agent as Verlander too and he's the exact same way. Incredibly mentally tough and resilient. Must run in the agency.
KB,
You have a dialogue aka pm.
Saw him three or four times in HS and at the state games. He alsolutely could crush a baseball. He threw hard but really didn't have that great of off speed stuff in HS. He has been one of those guys that has just continued to get better every year. He's a great person and his family is awesome. His dad umpires and has for years. I actually saw him several times growing up in AAU ball.
