You Illinois 2010s should be on your way to college soon.

Several years ago I was surprised when a coach told me that Illinois was the fourth best state from which to scout HS baseball players. Today I'm not surprised at all.

Since then I've seen an Illinois team with the WWBA in East Cobb. I've seen an Illinois team take second place at WWBA in Jupiter. I've seen an Illinois team win a PG National tournament in Tucson. I've seen an Illinois team represent the region in Farmington. I've seen a Midwest team with seven Illinois players win the most recent Area Code games.

This state kicks out more great baseball players than crooked mayors and governors...and that's a big number!

Keep up the good play, work hard and continue to represent Illinois in college and hopefully beyond.

You guys are awesome!!!

Agreed 2bags....I shutter to think that we as Illinoisans are so hungry for praise and acceptance that we use this forum to hurt ourselves patting each other on the back.

Bottom Line...we do fine. Some years better than others.

Seems like a pointless thread and a DR Phil session for justifying ourselves and our kids performances.
