My son has met with the baseball coach at Catholic University who suggested he prepare a video and send it to him. We live on Long Island. Does anyone know someone on Long Island who does this? I would appreciate any input. He is probably a little late but was afraid his studies and sports wouldn't mix and now he wants a try.

Thank you,

2old - I agree with turntwo...it is too expensive to pay someone to do something that you can do for nothing.
If you have a friend or family member with a video camera, just take your son out to a baseball field sometime and video tape your son playing his position. Whatever his main position is, take different angles of him pitching if he pitches with an emphasis on HIM, not the ball. If he is a fielder, have someone shag balls to him and video his making plays. Also make sure you get footage of him hitting, with a focus on his body mechanics. If you have the abilities and can take this one step further, edit the video down to a couple minutes. Coaches do not have 15 minutes to watch videos, but they do have 2-3 minutes to watch some good footage. If his best stuff is at the end of the video, it will not get seen.
I can give you more lengthy details/tips on video footage if you e-mail me at markefsl@sbcglobal.net.
