We are talking MLB managers

Wow TR, bad day or what. Was I poking fun, the answer is yes. I wouldn't dare try to hijack your post as you and others have done to many others...I will stick to the intent of the thread if you will also. Especially in the hitting forum where it seems no one can ask a question without it becoming a war between you and others. I also noticed the posts you made in the Slovokian thread were deleted by the moderator. "Glass House".
Jim Leyland has taken virtually the same team Alan Trammell managed to the top, although they are scuffling a bit lately, just 6-4 in the last 10. Barring a complete collapse, Leyland gets the prize.

I would give Giarardi NL manager of the year. This year it's much tougher to go .500 in Miami than win in Queens.

Jim Leyland...no question in my mind...

Anybody remember who it was that dressed down a young, cocky Barry Bonds in spring training in the early 90's?

I remember early in this season when Leyland lit into his entire team when he thought they were merely going through the motions on an early season travel day where they didn't give their best effort in a loss. They have been the best team in baseball ever since.

Leyland hands down, from cellar to first with almost the same crew.
Please stop the Torre nonsense.
The guy is first class, I really like him, but when you have teams like the Yanks, RedSox, Mets and others who spend their way to the top, Its hard to choose them for manager of the yr since the expectation of winning was already in place.
I genuinely like the Yanks, Sox and Mets Mgrs. but like Sciosia, they are expected to win.
