Did I miss it. No March Madness pool?

East - Ohio State
West - Connecticut
Southeast - Pittsburgh
Southwest - Notre Dame

Ohio State over Connecticut
Pittsburgh over Notre Dame

Pittsburgh over Ohio State

Kansas is fortunate Louisville and Vanderbilt were upset. A sixteen seed dictated play on them for a half and stayed in the game until eight minutes remaining. Only an overwhelming talent advantage and depth got Kansas through the game. They would have lost to a major conference team tonight.

The only "March Madness" was my Hokies not getting in , but as I explained to my sons, if you are a Hokie fan, there are only two seasons-fall football and spring football, and basketball is only intended to kill time in between those two seasons; you can't take it seriously or get too wrapped up in it...and besides, spring football practice has begun... (not to mention baseball season).
I think the selection committee did one of the worse jobs ever this year.
It is definitely a joke that the Big East got that many teams in. Having so many teams go down in the first weekend, is not a surprise. No way Pitt should have had a #1 seed.
I always wonder if the Big East and ACC getting so many teams in is a payback for them never having a team in the hunt for a football and baseball championship.

No team in the hunt? You're kidding, right?

I would consider participation in the College World Series as "being in the hunt" for a baseball national championship.

Going back the last 5 years, the ACC has been represented in Omaha by at least one team every year.
