Does anybody have info or feedback on the Mariners Cup held at Safeco field in August, for high school players? 2007 will be the second year they have done this.

Great opportunity! A huge recruiting/scouting event for anyone who wants to show their stuff.
Don't you have to be chosen to participate based on showing in BBNW events? Can't remember, but it's something like that.

From the MLB website it apears that they will be using their open tryouts for a dual purpose. #1 to see ball players, #2 to fill their Mariners Cup roster. The link below has all the info.

If your son was invited to the Mariners Cup and to the Area Code games, which would be the one he should attend?

My son has been accepted to play in the Mariner's Cup in August. He's also going to the Texas Area Code tryout in Weatherford. If he makes the AC team, the MC will have to be bumped.......nothing against the MC, but the AC would be the one to attend in my opinion for the most exposure.
