This season i'm going to try to get away w/ a mask and skulley. The umpires in my area are not to strict about equipment. Which way of protection do you other catchers prefer???

I like the hockey mask when I catch.

i dont wear a mask when i catch, but if i did i would use a hockey mask. not one of the mizuno or nike ones, but one of the rawlings or all-star kinds.
I don't know what a skulley is, but I use a triditional style All-Star mask. The FM25SLX. I love it. I don't like the hockey style masks.
I like the hockey style better.
hockey style.. I like the Rawlings and the All-Star helmets.

Skull Cap and Mask
It is called a hockey mask because it is meant for hockey, not baseball. Otherwise it would be a baseball mask.

For those of you who play under NFHS rules, please remember that the Skull cap and mask is not legal....
Under NFHS 1-4-8 All catchers headgear must offer full ear protection....(dual ear flaps)...
