Just curious and hoping someone can enlighten me here.  Looking through D3 playoff tourneys, I noticed Williams playing as follows:

Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference

Top six qualify; single/double elimination; top two seeds get byes. First round single elimination at higher seeds (3-6); second round double elimination begins at top two seeds; third round at No. 1 seed.
Seedings: TBD.

Williams is a NESCAC school, so just wondering what the MSCAC is all about; is it an actual conference, or some sort of ad hoc post season tournament maybe? Just curious... Thanks for any info.

When all is said and done, more is said than done.

No it's Williams College, not Roger Williams, listed on D3baseball.com under the MSCAS tournament game listing.  I'm guessing infielddad has it right that it's a non conf make up game which impacts MSCAS post season seedings.  Just looked odd to me and I thought maybe I was missing something... Like some sort of an at large bid arrangement between NESCAC and MSCAS or something.
