Maury defeated Norview 2-1 to win the Eastern District regular season title and the automatic bid to the Eastern Region playoffs. They will face the winner of Woodside-Gloucester Peninsula district championship.

was very impressed w/ norview. they played well but maury pitcher seemed to be in control from start to finish. i have NEVER seen the BUD look that good before--- field looked outstanding!!!!
Norview pitcher (formerly of Maury) Justin Davis pitched very well as he did the last time the two teams met, but Brian Bashara pitched a real gem giving up only 2 hits and one unearned run. Maury played very good defense behind him. Some timely hits and small ball and Tyon Ore's sacrifice fly and Maury locks up the regular season and the Regional bid. Norview has had a great season - especially down the stretch.

Who will pitch for each team......I'm sure, if Maury wins the first game - Singleton pitches against Norview in the second game...however, last time they met, Norview beat Singleton if I'm correct.
