Unless there's a webster somewhere between Fiji and Korea, I want to shepherd in the big moment for all of our wonderful HSBBWebsters. Baby New Year will be crawling onto our shores in 3.5 hours (it is 6:42am 12/31 EST as I type). I wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope that 2009 is filled with special things and determined optimism.

Well, just at the moment, I'm between Fiji and Korea, but it's the same time zone (Japan).

It is in fact now 2009 here.......and across Europe.

We have already employed several bottles of the type seen above, with tiny bubbles and flying corks....

(....I've learned however, that old pros discretely minimize the "pop".)
