Been a while since I have been on. Hope that everyone is surviving the off-season. Just wanted to catch folks up on the Summer International Championships in Crystal Lake and what is going on.
As we start our 2nd twenty years at 15U we have Japan, Brazil, at least four Puerto Ricos and brand new for 15U Aruba and Venezuela. Just emailed Venezuela about Home Stay. The Houston Banditoes Black (their top team) is coming. We have two Missouri, two Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota already signed up. Florida will be sending their top team. There will only be thirteen Illinois teams in this year of the forty-eight that we take. Nineteen spots are filled at this time.
The head of the Banditoes organization has committed his Black teams on all three age levels and seems to feel that they will come away from Crystal Lake with three champios.
Nations is running qualifiers for some of the six Illinois berths that they have. There are very limited opportunities for Illinois teams to get into it this year on the 15U age level.
13U has Brazil, Aruba, Sri Lanka and a couple of Puerto Rico teams at this point.We already have Texas (Banditoes) and a few Wisconsin teams in. Fifteen of fifty spots are taken.
11U will have Aruba, Puerto Rico and possibly Japan again.
