First off, I say this of my own volition. The moderators have not “Talked to me.” No one has twitter shamed me and there is no organized boycott against my employer(s) or corporate sponsors. LOL!
There is an old saying that my mother taught me when I was young, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” I don’t believe that maxim is universal; there are times when we must say things that aren’t nice when faced with extreme examples of wrong doing or injustice, etc. Jesus was not particularly nice to the Pharisees, calling them white washed tombs, clean and pretty on the outside but on the insides filled with dead men’s bones. However, yesterday was not one of those exceptions and I let myself say somethings about another poster that did not add to the forum in a constructive way.
Generally, I seek to completely avoid interacting with some posters with whom I have some fundamental disagreements. Hey, it’s an internet board, I can choose to interact with whomever. Most of those folks have been good to keep their distance from me as well. Others, not so much. But, nonetheless, that’s no excuse for letting myself go in a manner that was destructive to the community and, I am sure, gave the moderators a measure of heartburn. I, therefore, apologize to the moderators of this site, which we all do enjoy, for making pointed statements about another poster, which I knew would not go down easily and would cause dissension. I endeavor not to allow that to happen again. I apologize to you other posters for bringing disruption and disorder to our board. And I apologize to TPM for saying the things I did out on an open forum for everyone to see.
