Defending State Champ and stud pitching. Until someone proves otherwise they are the team to beat.
We (Rivals.Com) have Menchville #30 in the nation and #3 in the state behind Poquoson and Matoaca. I have them #1 in the Region.

While all rankings are subjective, and are only good for discussion, it is fun to weigh the pros and cons of who is the best.
The Monarchs lost seven senior starters from last year including our State POY Ethan Carter and we felt that was a big reason they were the #1 ranked team in the state last year.
This year, two sophomores (Josh Moore, Alex Korecky)and two juniors (Deron Hanley, Deshorn Lake) have stepped in and kept the engine rolling. Austin Chrismon may be the best pitcher in the Eastern Region. He has never lost a game in his career.
