Two organizations, the New York Nine and the Bayside Yankees, have officially merged together to form Team New York Baseball. This from the New York Nine website (www.newyorknine.org):

The landscape of amateur baseball has changed in recent years. Due to the emergence of large numbers of local teams diluting the talent pool, it is imperative that quality student-athletes are given the opportunity to continue to be seen together. This allows for the maximum number of collegiate exposure opportunities, and the optimal development and improvement of the individual student-athlete prior to their arrival at the collegiate level. On the national stage, both the Bayside Yankees and New York Nine have been at the forefront of this process. As the only two northeast members of Premier Baseball, both the Nine and the Yankees are recognized as two of the top organizations in the country. With 18 National championships, almost 1000 collegiate scholarship athletes and 120 professional alumni the Bayside Yankees have set the bar at the amateur level. In four short years, the New York Nine have had over 100 student-athletes receive scholarship aid, 7 professional draft choices/signees and three final-four finishes at the NABF World Series. WHY CHOOSE? Now you don’t have to.... The New York Nine and Bayside Yankees are proud to announce their official merger and the creation of Team New York Baseball. The business of the organization will be conducted under Team New York Baseball, Ltd, our existing 501 (c)(3) Not for Profit. This will allow us to continue to service student-athletes at the highest possible academic and athletic levels, with the continued tax-deductible support of private and corporate donors. This partnership will allow us to enhance the opportunities for each individual student-athlete. There will be specific goals at each age group ranging from player development, to collegiate and professional exposure, to the pursuit of national championships. This Merger, coupled with the recent support of the Anaheim Angels, will create limitless opportunities for qualified student-athletes. Bayside Yankees + New York Nine = the future of amateur baseball (Team New York Baseball, Ltd).

This is actually Coach Millmans 3rd attempt. The first was with the S Fl Bandits and Mark Holsman. Then it was Farrah and now Bayside. All this after he was let go by the NY Cardinals. This is just more ego's under the same umbrella. Its been a very busy 6 years. They supposedly were just named a Scout Team for the Angels? if so, why the need for a merger with the Bayside Yankees who seem to be floundering.

I also just checked the Primier site and the D1 commits. not one from the Nine? How and why? I really want to watch this one unfold.

Has Mr Cuseta really stepped aside? Will they now be back in with PG if Cuseta has not stepped down?
