Mid-Atlantic American Legion Tourney

3:03PM EST 8/12/04 - Post 21 defeated Morgantown,
WV Post 2 in the 1st round of the Mid-Atlantic
Regionals 8-7. Tyler Vaughn went 7 innings for
the win. Jordan Gibson pitched 3 innings for the
save. Ryan Anderson hit a 2-run homer in the 1st
and Brent Lockhart hit a 2-run double in the 7th
to led Post 21 offensively.

Next up... either the tournament host Boyertown
Post 471 (47-1) or the MD champ Gaithersburg Post
296 (38-11) on Friday at approx. 7:30.

Game 3 Summary from Boyertown
Post 21 defeated NY 6-5. Ryan Anderson and
Jordan Gibson paced Post 21 with 2 hits a piece.
Cory Campbell pitched 6.2 strong innings while
Anthony Farrell picked up the win in relief.

Post 21 now plays Chester, NJ Post 342 on Sunday
at 7:00 PM.

Chester, NJ defeated Winchester Post 21 10-7 on
Sunday evening to end Post 21's season at 29-11.
In the Mid-Atlantic Regionals, Post 21 went 2-2 in the tourney.

Patrick Wingfield (4 hits - 3 RBI), Ryan Anderson
(2 hits - 1 HR - 2 RBI), Brent Lockhart (2 hits -
2 RBI), Jordan Gibson (2 hits) and Tyler Carroll
(2 hits) paced Post 21 offensively.

Brian Gray took the loss on the mound.

It was a great season and a great run through
states and into the regionals. What a season!
