TR- just curious why you think they'd trade Glaus and for who and who do the Angels have as a replacement. I'd hate to see this happen.
The Angels are making a big splash here in SoCal, especially with the Dodgers in the
, Angels have great new owner, made great acquistions in the off-season and Glaus is vital part of their lineup and a SoCal kid,UCLA player and a huge favorite. Plus can't see the Angels wanting to do anything to help the Evil Empire.
My vote would be Adrian Beltre going from the Dodgers. The Dodgers just helped the Yanks, giving them Brown for Weaver. They've singed Beltre to just a one year contract and have clearly soured on the guy and with Frank "Buddy can you spare me a dime" McCourt as the new owner gotta believe he'd dump Beltre's 5-6 million for some Yankee prospects. The Yanks could probably trade Drew Henson to the Dodgers even though his baseball retirement is official today. Since the Dodgers don't have a GM, they probably wouldn't know the difference.

Catfish-don't be so sure they'd know about Henson . They traded a few years ago for Jeff Shaw not knowing his contract and years of service allowed him to be a free agent at the end of the year by virtue of the trade.

As for Henson as of today from what I understand he is out of baseball via a deal with the Yankees whereby he forfeits his remaining 12 million to go play football, This has yet to be confirmed but it is all I have been hearing for two days now

Hah, it's interesting to see the speculation surrounding the Yankees 3rd baseman pre-ARod era...they (unfortunately) have the best in the game for the next 7 years :-/.

I would not count on him being a Yankee for the full 7 years--let him win one WS Ring and he will want to go back to playing shortstop--and in a couple of years his yearly "stipend" drops to 16 million which will make him affordable to other teams

I'm a Mets fan...I think that there is no way Steinbrenner will let him escape during his contract. I don't see who they would trade him for, although some pitching might be in need. The scores of their games will be in the range of 18-5 this year however, so pitching may not be a worry.
