Heard some discussion about a 10 run rule (because of Mississippi scoring 10 in the first inning.) Plus some discussion about coach liking 7 inning games.

I had just gotten home so wasn't sure about if I was hearing right.

My opinion I like the 9 inning Friday night game, then 2 seven inning games on saturday. Sundays give teams a chance to get home earlier.

Because of travel for the other team, we had a 10 am game and by noon it was brutal.

I'm still a fan of the series being a weekend series of one each day.  Not a fan of 7 inning games.  It changes the game and loses revenue for home schools but I also know that it saves some money because some do not spend the night after the double headers.  I just like the atmosphere of one each day being 9 innings but on a personal note it would allow me to see all three of my son's games if they played then Friday and Saturday.  I could see a run rule in weekday non-conference play but don't know that the SEC would ever agree to a run rule.  But things are a changing as they say.

I hate the 7 inning games.  DH or not, baseball games are 9 innings! The MAC is playing single game Friday, DH on Saturday and a game on Sunday.  There have been some ugly Sunday games due to just not having enough pitching for 4 games in less than 48 hours.

CUSA plays a single 9 inning game Friday, two 7 inning games Saturday and 1 9 inning game on Sunday. No midweek unless a makeup.  Plus, each team has to play their closest  team twice. That's the same team 8 games in a 2 weekend time frame.

I know it was done to save money on transportation. and lodging. But there has to be a better plan.
