MLB Tryout Camps

A good place to keep checking is on the MLB website . Unfortunately, most of the information is for last year. Maybe someone will give us an idea of when this info will be updated....

I wish they would update the page, I have it bookmarked but it's still 2003 info.

I think that MLB usually updates the list in mid April or early June.

Also, most of the teams listed have a link in the community page for tryouts.

Don't forget the IL tryout camps. Go to www.protryouts.com.
Also go to the local IL web sites for individual team tryouts. Try www.atlanticleague.com

Last year spring 03 I simply wrote a letter to the MLB scouting bureau and they mailed us a list of tryouts,sites and dates.

I was just wondering--why in Michigan, where the season is not underway yet, is someone concerned about MLB tryout camps when he should be worrying about the upcoming season and be in tip top shape, maybe even fighting to keep your starting slot or win one--- Don't put the horse before the cart !!!!

What makes you think the poster isn't doing all those things and more?? Not one word in his post showed that he was or wasn't preparing for his HS season..

There could be a hundred and one reasons why he is anxiously awaiting the schedule and none of them may have anything to do with his upcoming season. (School events, work, family commitments, other showcases, inpatience to know etc...)..

On this one I think you put the horse before the cart..

Are these camps only for those that are serious about trying out for the teams, or are they another tool in the efforts "to be seen".
