Good video, the other would be just a walk off lead where the pitcher never freezes the runner.

That is a good plan, but you need to teach your runners to watch for the swing move from the pitcher.

This is good stuff.

Typically, my players aren't Rhodes Scholars.
Momentum stealing of third is something that I'd teach selectively, to certain players, who have high baserunning IQ. I'd teach them behind the dugout.

How do you if you do teach a walking lead at first

Walk off leads are tough at first, but depends on the pitcher. If the pitcher rarely throws to first he would be a candidate. The other would be a LHP, but you need to be wary of the quick move to 1B. Walk off leads from my experience are usually from 2B especially the one lookers.

ESPN did a lengthy analysis of the increasing number of steals of third base in MLB.

In 2009, the 415 steals came on 535 attempts--77.5% rate of success. The article didn't provide nos. of attempts in prior years--I don't know if the rate of success is increasing.

MLB has a surprising no. of 3B steals with two outs, with a high success rate.

I would say they reason for success with 2 outs stealing 3rd has a lot to do with the P and MIF not caring if they take 3rd. At that level they feel like he is already in scoring position, lets focus on hitter.
