My 2013 attended the event last year. Are the many of the schools in attendance on his radar and his playing ability? Is he a 2014?

If the answer is yes to those questions, then I would say YES.

It was one of the top 3 showcases my 2013 attended in terms of exposure and interest he received. He got interest from 5 d1 schools. 1 of these schools he had been communicating with, but had not seen him play, and 3 had. This was a springboard that started to get the ball really rolling, including Jr day invites etc.

The other was a school/program that was on his radar list but had zero communication with, could not get any interest from emails, videos, etc. They got to see him hit, catch and throw. This got him an invitation to one of their camps and a a tour of the campus and a meeting with the head coach.

We actually did not attend one of the dates/weekend. We looked at the schools that were attending that week, and there was only one school he was interested in and they had already seen him play. There was another event that was the same weekend that my son was more interested in the school and the program.

While it is an expensive showcase, if the schools are in his wheelhouse it is a great event. If the schools are not, either academically or athletically or both, then there are much better ways to spend the time and the $. The finite resource, IMO, is time. This event is spread out over multiple weekends so you need to evaluate any opportunity cost.
