We've been hearing from several sources that Irving's Blake Beavan has transferred to Coppell for his senior year- can anyone verify?

If that actually happens, then the UIL is even a bigger joke. OOPS...JMO! 
Pdiddy, I'm sure if the Beav-miester is transferring, it will all be done on the up and up. Why jeopardize your senior season or Coppell's baseball program?

I hear he is going there because of Coppell's nuclear engineering program that is not offered at Irving High School.

Well if that happens, then how in the world can Coppell NOT win the state title with all those D1 prospects and potential high round draft picks. 
I mean, have you ever heard of a school with so much talent NOT making it to the state tournament and winning a state championship?
Maybe they will opt for the best of 3 series now?

I heard he wanted to be home schooled! but then decided he did not want to disappoint all of you, so rumor is he is staying with Irving! After all, his Father graduated from there, his 2 brothers graduated from there. It is 5A and in a very tuff district and has a new coach. What more could you ask for!!! Good Luck everyone next year.
Bevan + Coppell does not equal State.
Just like Walker and Woods didn't equal state...
and Coppell wouldn't have the pitching combo the Gophers had even if he does transfer... not to mention a couple of position guys who were good enough to play at Alabama, Miami amd Wichita State off of that same team.... and Coppell wouldn't have that either....
Sorry, rumor can be true but doubt they'll be ordering any rings next June...

You know, funny you should bring up the Irving / transfer up from the mid 90's!!! As I was very much a part of that ERA as I am today. There are no guarantees in life (ON ANYTHING except DEATH) so.... with that in mind why jump ship to TYR for a state championship that is only EVERY HS DREAM at the start of the season. I say you do the best with what you have, show you tooks, mentality and stamina and that will take you on a much farther journey than trying to make a LEGAL flee to accomplish (Only a State Championship)only to find out that it did not happen and there you are graduating from a school you had no ties to, no family tradition to, no nada!!!
