OBN - Where is NCTC and what is a dual signing? Thanks.

Redhead,

Dual signing means this kid has signed with a D1 program (Tech) and a Jr. College. If he goes to the D1 program, he has to wait until he's 21 or after his Jr. year to be drafted again. If he goes to the Jr. College, he can be drafted each year. It will depend on where he's drafted this June as to which school he ends up going to. If he's a pretty high draft pick, he may want to go to the JC, get a little better and then get drafted again next year. He can't do that if he goes to Tech.

You may already know this, but I just thought I would put this on here for those that don't know this.

Nice to see someone going to Eastern Michigan. They are starting to build a program up there in Ypsilanti.

As a product of Central Michigan University, I wish he had gone a little further northwest of Ypsilanti to play ball. But congrats - always good when the MAC can snare a ballplayer from Texas.

He is as talented at baseball as he is at football and soon he will be off to Columbia to play football and at the same time receive an amazing education at an Ivy League school.

I wanted to put out a good word for a GREAT kid that I have known since he was a toddler. His uncle Bubba Jackson was my catcher in HS @ McKinney and went on to play at A&M & TCU and then several years in the minor leagues with the Texas Rangers. I am referring to Jake Luce, who is the starting CF for the Allen Eagles. Jake has a love for the game of baseball like you don't see too often. I think he will be a very successful player some day at the D1 level, but for now he has accepted an offer he couldn't turn down from Blinn Junior College in Brenham.

Jake is a very special kid to me and I want to wish him the very best next year and in the future. Blinn stole a player that will make a huge impact from day one.

Way to go Jake and congratulations to his parents, some of the greatest people on earth, Joe and Jill.
