Most unusual mascot

I am not sure if this has been done before, but I'd like for people to post the most unusual team/school mascot they have ever heard of.

I came across a strange mascot this summer and thought it was the most unusual I've ever seen. It was a Billiken of St Louis, which not only sounds odd, but looks odd as well.

Rhode Island school of design

mascot - Scrotie


The school's basketball team is known as the Balls, and their slogan is, "When the heat is on, the Balls stick together." The hockey team is called the Nads, and their cheer is "Go Nads!" Scrotie was created to cheer on the Nads in 2001. Despite his status as an unofficial mascot, he's present at all the games and widely accepted by the student body.

You're right! Also, St. Charles North is the North Stars. Chester has the "Yellow Jackets" as their mascot although their school colors are orange and black Wink

Then there's the Fisher Bunnies. And the Centralia Orphans.

I must admit getting a chuckle, but I find it very hard to believe that is the mascot of any reputable college/university(even unofficially). I would think that guy just shows up at some games, but without permission of the administration. I am not a prude, but I would not want a walking ***** complete with testicles walking around a sporting event attended by families with women and children.

As to some of the others, I cannot believe how off the wall some are.

It was. I am an 85 graduate of MHS. The mascot of Monmouth was a very intimidating teddy bear. Imagine the Snuggle Bear as your mascot. They changed it a while back when they merged with a little town nearby called Roseville and changed the name of the team to the Titans.

I will always be a Zipper and wear the Maroon and Gold proudly.

The area has a history of weird named teams. Knox College in Galesburg was named the Siwash until recently when it was found out that it was some sort of insult to Native Americans. So of course they changed the name of the team to the Prarie Fire, something that all of those folks in Texas are enjoying this year.
