Can you guys give me the rule reference / number on how many visits you get per game under NFHS rule set?

Tonight I went out to talk to the pitcher in the 5th inning to find out how much my pitcher had left. He lasted another hitter as we got another guy loose. When he got ready the head coach went out to make the change and another of the asst. coaches said something he had to be pulled because it was the second visit in that inning. I told him we didn't have to make the change because it wasn't our third trip in the game. He swore up and down you only get one trip per inning and then have to make a change on the second trip. I kept telling him he was wrong but he wouldn't listen.

We made a steak dinner bet on it and went out to the ump and asked him. Obviously he said it was 3 trips total and I'm thinking I'm getting a steak dinner. we get back to the dugout and he says he still doesn't believe me. During the rest of the game and just after the game he asked everyone under the sun what the rule was getting someone to back him and some did. But others said there were 4 visits total and a few other crazy ones.

So after all this - where can I find this in a rule book so I can prove to this guy that you get 3 trips in a game and win me a steak dinner?

Thanks guys.

I'm a fan of the 16oz prime rib myself, although others might like a 20oz porterhouse or a nice 12oz filet. Kind of up to you.

I love horse radish, so the prime rib is my pick. Add a loaded baked potato and maybe a salad. Although if you're eating good meat, do you really need a salad? I think not. Better to save room.

A nice Merlot or Cabernet goes nicely with it. If you're feeling exotic, try a Shiraz or Sarah (same thing). If your assistant is buying, get a bottle. Just me...

First, we need to remember that what we are counting are Charged Conferences. I have had rookie umpires fail to distinquish between a charged and non-charged when totallying the number of conferences.

We teach this to newbies as "3 C for Free".
