What are the restrictions or issues with moving from NAIA to D1 baseball program? Do you use your years of eligibility? Would you have to set out one year to transfer (if new NCAA rules pass)?

Any year you participated in NAIA, you lose eligibilty for that year.
NCAA will require a release letter from the NAIA school prior to any contact with an NCAA school.
Basically any rules that apply for NCAA tranfers, apply between NAIA and NCAA.
A NAIA school's AD will only fax a copy of release letter to the AD or compliance office of the NCAA school that you wish to contact, but you have to supply the AD that info, names, school and fax number.
Only know this because we just went thru this process a couple of months ago.
