A relief pitcher came into one of my son's games last spring with one of the gold logo gloves. Those of us behind the backstop were dumbfounded by how brightly it reflected the setting sun. Of course the plate umpire was standing off to the side and didn't see anything wrong during the warmup pitches. The first real pitch was right down the middle. The PU called it a ball, required a different glove, and told the catcher that "it's not a strike if I can't see it."

That was the only game in which I saw a pitcher with a gold logo glove, so I infer that umpires typically haven't allowed them.

I will just have to agree with MST here, since we are both NFHS rules interpreters, In my opinion, the word "Grey" in the rule book does not give us any leeway on the shades of grey color....

From all my training and resources, I'd say grey gloves or gloves with grey parts are not legal for pitchers....
