I am currently a second semester college freshman that has played baseball since the age of 5, at every competetive level imaginable, pitched in the regional finals of the state tournament, etc. While in high school, it became more of a priority to me to pursue education at a very successful public university close to home, that also happens to be a sports powerhouse. I decided I would rather take my chances pursuing a walk-on spot and go to a school I absolutely loved than go to low level D1 that I didn't particularly like. When I tried out, I made it extremely far, was invited to participate in the fall season, and ultimately was told by the coaching staff that it would be difficult for me to get playing time with 18 scholarship pitchers on the team and that they would help me with a transfer to a more of a mid major program. I decided I would rather just stay at school and pursue my academics and just be a normal kid for once, which really has been awesome. I found no shame in making it as far as I did, being one of 50+ walkons to make it through the fall season at a school that is ranked top 20 preseason nationally. I have learned a lot from the game of baseball and am sure I will be coaching in the near future giving back all that was given to me. This site helped me greatly through my recruiting journey, and I am available to all high school players, parents, other college students if they ever are seeking advice. Thanks again to everybody on the site for the advice they have thrown my way.
