as parents we wouldn't be doing our job if we didn't THINK our kids were the best at what ever they do. we can think that because we love them and WANT them to be the best.but we know they aren't alway's the best.
that is our parent thinking part of the brain,it has the ability to think great things, wild crazy things, things that we want to be real. we can even think of good reasons why things aren't working out, like we THINK they should. even though we know the reality of it.
this parental thinking part of the brain is surrounded and protected by a strong membrane that keeps these thoughts contained, and out of public view.
but every now and then this membrane can be eaten away by some unknown bug, until those thoughts are allowed to escape.they will spread like a virous, through the spoken and printed word. these spoken/written thoughts can make us look selfish, petty, and just plain foolish. even though we KNOW better, it's those parental thoughts escaping, once they are out there is no stopping the madness. they run freely, digging and scaring as they go. it isn't pretty as we have seen lately.

so put your parent goggles on and the parental cone of silence. and enjoy the times you have with your players, and their teams.please keep the parental thoughts to your self, they are your's and most of the time only yours.

life really is to short to be unhappy.

baseball......a big business disquised as a little boys dream.
